The CIP Manager drives sustainable continuous improvements within the Chesapeake Flowserve facility, delivering breakthrough results in Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost (SQDC). This successful candidate through their leadership skills will be recognized as a change agent who drives operations excellence though improvement initiatives. The CIP Manager will be part of the plant leadership team and will have one direct report. Overall responsibilities include but are not limited as follow.
Develop, execute and facilitate improvement action plans that positively impact safety, quality, profitability, operational efficiency, customer satisfaction and on time delivery
Acts as a catalyst for CI initiatives in concert with Leadership Team
Lead and facilitate Kaizen events to drive sustainable improvements
Benchmark performance across the facility and Flowserve to identify opportunities and develop justification for projects and initiatives
Engage employees to build a CI culture across the organization
Develop tracking tools and measures to support CI initiatives
Track and analyze the CI process and manufacturing matrices
Leverage resources and share best practices across all facilities
Challenge the status quo to find ways to optimize manufacturing performance
Additional related duties as deemed appropriate by Director, Plant Manager
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Math, Science, Business, Operations or related discipline
5 or more years of CI experience within a Manufacturing environment
Demonstrated proficiency in Lean methodologies/techniques such as Root Cause Analysis, Kaizen Blitz, Value Stream Mapping, Labor Analysis, 5S,7 Wastes, Strategy Development, etc.
Excellent project management skills and experiences
Proficient in MS Office applications; and analysis and data tracking tools
Excellent analytical and strategic skills
Demonstrated ability to lead change
