Role Summary:

You will have responsibility for the intake, review, and assignment of investigations, managing the triage process and related metrics and case tracking. You will also be responsible for conducting internal HR investigations in the EMA region and worldwide. The position will be part of the Global Investigations team within the Integrity & Compliance department.

Responsibilities:

Responsible for investigating potential legal or regulatory violations, discrimination, harassment, employee relations issues, and/or violations of Flowserve’s Code of Conduct or other policies. They will also actively support Flowserve’s global compliance program by analyzing and advising on emerging risks, conducting training, and working to improve policies, procedures, and internal controls, particularly related to human resources and employee relations.

Specific duties to include:

  • Conducting internal investigations in the EMA region and worldwide by identifying issues, interviewing witnesses, collecting and reviewing relevant data, drafting investigation reports, recommending remedial action as appropriate, and generally managing the life of the case.

  • Performing statistical analysis of hotline and other ethics data to identify trends and areas of risk and preparing periodic reports for management.

  • Managing various reporting and tracking systems using SharePoint, Excel, EthicsPoint, and Microsoft Teams.

Responsible for the report intake and triage process for all HR reports and investigations. Process to include, but not limited to, the following activities:

  • Triage concerns raised via the hotline and other reporting channels in a confidential, timely and thorough manner to ensure responsive handling of every report

  • Review incoming reports to determine issues, potential risk and assignment

  • Assess reports for any special considerations (e.g., insufficient information, imminent threats, etc.) and follow practices and protocols to address

  • Concisely communicate case assignment to investigator, including a written case summary and all pertinent report information

Follow-up with reporters throughout the triage process, as necessary

  • Document pertinent information in the confidential NAVEX case management system in a timely and consistent manner

  • Collaborate with investigation partners as needed and attend regular investigation partner meetings

  • Deliver investigations-related training to relevant associates

  • Monitor investigation cycle times and expedite cases to meet cycle time targets

  • Track investigation remediation measures to completion to ensure issues are addressed

Requirements:

  • At least 5 years of experience conducting human resources, employment, or employee relations subject matter investigations

  • Must be fluent in English, both oral and written

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate routine and complex information through concise and clear messaging and demonstrated skill in presenting findings and recommendations with ability to incorporate business perspectives in recommendations and discussions

  • Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to operate independently and work as part of a team, able to build relationships across and outside the department

  • Advanced skills in active listening, analyzing and evaluating information, and drawing logical conclusions.

  • Good judgement and the ability to identify and escalate issues.

  • Strong ethical values and commitment to operating with absolute confidentiality

  • Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, databases, and/or business software systems

  • Strong time management skills with an ability to manage multiple tasks and re-prioritize issues as necessary

  • Ability and willingness to travel (15%) throughout area of responsibility and globally to conduct investigations or assessments.

  • Bachelor’s Degree required

Preferred Experience/Skills:

  • Proficiency in German and/or Spanish, both oral and written

  • Working knowledge of NAVEX, SharePoint, MS Teams

  • Experience in ethics and compliance a plus

  • Legal degree a plus
