Position Description:

We are currently looking for a Sourcing Specialist for our Kalamazoo, MI facility. This person would be responsible for but not limited to the following:

  • Collaborate with operations, Engineering and other supply chain roles to develop sourcing strategies that meet our long-term business objectives.

  • Manage all performance aspects of AMSS carbon and carbide supply base.

  • Conduct regular market tests of components to ensure best total cost of acquisition (TCoA).

  • Develop and implement supplier stocking programs both at suppliers and consigned at AMSS operations.

  • Collaborate in cross-functional teams to develop low cost supply base options and optimize our carbon and carbide supply base.

  • Travel 20% (higher in first year) to AMSS operations and both domestic and foreign supply base.

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in Business or Engineering (preferably ISM)

  • Minimum 6 years of experience

  • Strong written and oral communication skills

  • Proven track record of delivering results and building relationships

  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in MS Excel

  • Good time-management and organizational skills

  • Able to collaborate with multiple functions and levels of Flowserve and supplier management

  • Good listening skills and ability to develop work plans both independently and within a cross-functional team

Preferences:

  • Previous international experience is preferred

  • Technical training in Engineering/certifications

  • CPIM/APIC certification
