Flowserve’s Marketing & Technology(M&T) group develops solutions and technologies with focus on Digital Products and Internet of Things (IoT). The Mechatronics Engineer will support M&T Technology Development projects across global platforms.
As a Mechatronics R&D Engineer, you will collaborate with some of the best and brightest minds of Flowserve on how to apply innovative solutions to technically challenging and complex problems. You will play a critical role in developing Flowserve’s IPS Condition Monitoring and Diagnostics products.
Program custom developed algorithms using standard language, structure, and architecture
Work cross-functionally with software developers and design engineers to ensure reliable and scalable products
Apply engineering methods and practices, ensuring on-time, traceable, and fully realized solution
Participate in design reviews and provide valuable insights Build electronic prototypes, proof-of-concepts and demonstrations
Serve as an architect for embedded software
Develop reusable application frameworks, reducing cost,complexity, and overall maintenance of proposed solutions
Develop programming or interfacing software for predictive algorithms with input and guidance from algorithm engineers or pump SME’s
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
Bachelor's / Master’s degree in Mechatronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering or related technical field and specific experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
3-5 years of experience in R&D or engineering role.
Ability to Program in LabVIEW or Python
Ability to use electronic test equipment for debugging and programming development.
Ability to debug embedded software using simulators, debuggers, and in-circuit emulators.
Knowledge of Analog and Digital Signal Processing Ability to produce professional reports and presentations in
keeping with company policies & objectives
Ability to communicate effectively orally and in written form
Strong project management and organizational skills and ability to implement in practice.
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Knowledge of IoT landscape
Basic understanding of real-time data management tools like OSI PI System
Familiarity with cloud computing services such as Azure, AWS or Google Cloud
Basic knowledge of industrial rotating equipment (pumps, seals,

systems, and vibration technologies
